As a result of the nature of the project, GPRS was able to mobilize within 24 hours of contact. During the renovation for the expansion of an existing hotel, there was concern in regards to anchoring new walls. GPRS was contacted to ensure safe drilling and eliminate risk while installing the new exterior walls. The work consisted of marking the rebar within the proposed drilling areas. GPRS was recently contacted by a local contractor to map the rebar present within some existing bridge bent caps prior to coring. GPRS mobilized to the site and performed all of the concrete imaging over the course of three (3) days and two (2) mobilizations including some bent caps that were only accessible with a man-lift and fall-arrest systems. Ground penetrating radar was used to locate utilities and other obstructions in multiple locations at a Tampa area High School.

This survey pattern used was 5' spacing between the scans to ensure the areas were covered sufficiently. GPR was able to locate underground utilities running in and around the areas surveyed as well as underground storage tanks (USTs). Additionally, we performed a 3D scan for a 20’ x 20’ area directly over a group of chiller lines that where found in the school parking lot.

The pictures you see below are from a local attraction in Orlando, FL. The demolition contractor was removing a curb when they unknowingly broke a main feed line for the sprinkler system. This would normally not have been something difficult to remedy. However, they did not know where the shut-off valve was for the system.
